Bangladesh: South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation Dhaka–Sylhet Corridor Road Investment Project-Tranche 1
This investment project will finance improvement of approximately 210 kilometers of the Dhaka-Sylhet section of the existing National Highway No. 2. The project will improve efficiency, connectivity, and safety of the Dhaka-Sylhet international corridor. It will upgrade the road from two-lanes into four lanes, and design features for the inclusion of elderly, women, children, and the differently-abled. It will also be equipped to withstand disaster and climate risks. The project road connects to the border with India via the Sylhet-Tamabil section.
