India: National Highway Sector II
The project's main objective was to improve transport efficiency and expand economic opportunities. It aimed to strengthen the capacity of the National Highway Authority of India for national highway development and operations and maintenance; upgrade and increase the capacity of key national arterial corridors, particularly the north-south corridor; improve road safety; and contribute to prevention and spread of HIV/AIDS and human trafficking.
