Nepal Customs Officers Undergo Training at NACEN

The National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics (NACEN) held a capacity-building program for 35 Customs Officers from Nepal on 9-13 January 2017 in Faridabad, India.

The program discussed various Customs-related topics, including

  • Customs valuation;
  • World Trade Organization provisions; 
  • Customs reforms; 
  • Fraud and other Customs offenses, and their investigation;
  • Use of risk management;
  • Free trade agreements; and 
  • Rules of origin. 

A field visit to the inland container depot in Tughlakabad, India was arranged to give participants a hands-on experience. The faculty expert and logistics support for the program were provided by NACEN.
