National Logistics Policy to Bring Down India's Logistics Cost
15 April 2023
India's National Logistics Policy (NLP) was launched in September 2022 to reduce logistics cost in the country by facilitating seamless movement of goods. Various sectors–such as agriculture, commodities, and e-commerce–are projected to benefit from the policy.
Enterprises, consulting companies, and startups could build on their respective capabilities to maximize the impact of NLP and make the logistics sector more resilient. Some of the areas that the logistics sector could build on are standardization and aggregation of data, transparency and collaboration, and the use of eco-friendly packaging and the lowering of emissions through efficient value chains operations.
