Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum 2019: Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation for Regional Prosperity

The Asian Development Bank and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, in collaboration with the Government of India and the Confederation of Indian Industries, held the 9th Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum (APTFF) in New Delhi, India on 17-18 September 2019. The forum focused on digital and sustainable trade facilitation measures and practices that can bring prosperity to the Asia-Pacific region.

The APTFF explored opportunities and challenges in trade digitalization for the sustainable development of the region. Panel discussions and interactive and informative sessions were held to facilitate sharing of experiences and perspectives on different aspects of trade facilitation, including trade finance, cross-border ecommerce, paperless trade, and innovative application of emerging technologies. The sessions shared relevant regional initiatives and implementation cases, providing opportunities to share knowledge and practical lessons.
