This small-scale technical assistance provided an analytical and empirical basis for identifying the Maldives’ regional economic cooperation potential. It provided an analysis of the Maldives’ existing trade patterns, sectoral comparative advantage, opportunities regarding regional cooperation, and evaluation of institutional capacity.
