Nepal: Civil Aviation Airport Project (formerly Civil Aviation Sector Development)

This technical assistance enhanced capacity and improved the quality of Nepal's air transport services by conducting an agreed feasbility design to address deficiencies in civil aviation and assess development needs of international and regional airports. It further reassessed the institutional capacity of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal and explored potential areas for private sector involvement in financing, ownership, operations, rehabilitation, and the maintenance and management of airports.
